I am Ioana – an avid traveler, shenanigans enthusiast, sender of postcards. My friends and family have heard me talk about traveling full time for years and in mid-2023 I decided to take a leave of absence from my work, pack up my apartment, and explore a few corners of the Earth for a year, starting in April 2024. I look forward to learning languages and cultures, exploring new and favourite places and foods, meeting people and making friends.

When I first decided to share my adventures I had to find something that represents me – and here we are with postcards and shenanigans! Shenanigans are those situations like doing a self-guided walking tour during a layover in a foreign city the morning of your flight, when you only have a couple of hours to catch said flight. I am very fortunate that I have the bestest friends, who put up with said shenanigans. They haven’t left me in a random city (yet) and for that I am forever grateful.

I also love sending postcards from my travels and thought it would be a great idea to spread a little joy in the form of 4″ by 6″ rectangles. And trust me, if you’ve ever tried to buy stamps in foreign countries, you will have likely experienced shenanigans!
